Blackburn Announcements Blackburn Elementary 2013-2014 School Supply Lists The school supply lists for the 2013-2014 school year have been posted. Click here to access the school supply lists for all grades at Blackburn Elementary. Blackburn Book Swap Fourth grade students recently created and organized a school wide book swap for Blackburn. The students called it the Blackburn Book Swap. It was the end project for their month-long study of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Repair”.
The students created jingles to sing on the announcements and made posters to display around the school. The motto was “Bring a book, get a book…bring a lot, get a lot”. They collected books from students the week of May 28-31. A total of 920 books were collected and organized for the swap. The Blackburn Elementary students came to pick out new books for the summer on June 4. Below are pictures from the event. |
